‘We Talk Macam Ni Lah’ responds to Brief 2 of ISTD’s 2024 competition by reframing Malaysia’s slang not just as informal speech, but as a series of cultural milestones that shaped the nation’s identity. This publication celebrates the evolution of Malaysian slang as a unifying cultural force, blending Malay, English, Chinese dialects, and Tamil into a dynamic, informal lexicon that defines national pride.
